Axis Technologies Group, Inc., through its subsidiary, Axis Technologies, Inc., designs, manufactures, markets, and sells fluorescent lighting products for the commercial lighting industry in the United States and Canada. It offers a proprietary line of electronic dimming ballasts that regulate voltage in light fixtures. The company markets its products to commercial users of fluorescent lighting in office buildings, wholesale and retail buildings, hospitals, schools, and government buildings. Axis Technologies Group is headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Dimming fluorescent lighting makes alot of sense. I went to their website and they have alot of utilities giving rebates for AXTG's ballasts. Not bad. If they get some traction and some press, this could be a big gainer. Looks like the stock is pretty near its lows (but what stock isn't? LOL) but I like the possibilities --and like another poster said--the Obama Administration looks to be a friend for these type companies. I will be putting this one on my Watch list.
While their progress has been slow.
Consideration must be given to Axis being a small start-up.
My feeling is that they are on the verge of posting sales which they have expected in prior years. Axis will have a "significant 2009" is purposely understated in my opinion. Very bullish!
Interesting Company in the "right" sector for 2009
Obama Administration has basically said they are going to start stimulus in the "GREEN TECHNOLOGY" sector by energy auditing all the Federal buildings to see ways to adopt some initiatives in that sector AND get a quick payback through energy savings. Seems to me that a product like this one--a dimmimg fluorescent light that adjusts to increases and declines in light coming windows etc--would HAVE to be a part of any solution to reducing energy for lighting. I would like to see some more info on current contracts with real revenue numbers behind it. I will be doing some more due diligence and may get in for a position to force me to follow it. LOL
